Saturday October 1st 2016, from 7pm, SomoS presents the pop-up dinner “Korean Kitchen with Mimi Kang.” Taking place at the spacious salon of SomoS Art House, it offers participants the opportunity to explore her delicious Korean interpretation of Asian dishes using local fresh ingredients.
The dinner (which offers a vegetarian as well as a non-vegetarian option) involves ingredients which are available and easily accessible locally, infused with the rich and palatable flavors, methods and style of the diverse and colorful Korea.
About Mimi Kang:
Mimi Kang is a mother of two who after moving from Korea to Europe found it difficult to find good Korean food around. Missing the flavors of home, she started to cook Korean dishes herself from ingredients available in local stores. The satisfying results of her family-style cooking practice are the affordable, authentic Korean dishes she presents at her workshops, popup dinners and catering.
As an appetizer, Mimi will lead the participants through the preparation of a delicious sampling of Korean appetizers, both meat-based and vegan (Moo-yachemali, O-i maki, Beoseos-gooi, Jap-che) followed by the typical Korean Bulgogi dish (Marinated & Fried Beef), and a vegan mixed mushrooms variation of it.
Reservation by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) is needed before Thursday September 29th, 7pm, due to the limited number of participants.
