On January 20th and 21st 2018, artists situated in Berlin Neukölln opened their ateliers to the public in the “Neuköllner Produktion 2018,” organized by the platform “Kulturnetzwerk Neukölln.”
As part of this weekend, two private guided tours along Neukölln art spaces visited SomoS.
In SomoS’ exhibition space, an accrochage presented work from past residents plus exhibited artists, such as Hiroki Otsuka (USA), Ari Versluis & Ellie Uyttenbroek / Studio Exactitudes (Netherlands), Natusha Croes (Aruba), Christopher Sperandio (USA), Willi Tomes, Anthony Lycett (UK), Janos Brückner (Hungary), Howl Projects, Synchrodogs, Ileana Pascalau.
“Neuköllner Produktion 2018” presents the diversity and quality of art production in arguably Berlin’s most creative area, Neukölln. The festival invites art lovers to discover art and meet artists directly where it is being created. From industrial loft, to garage to living-atelier, these two days offer an unique possibility to peak into the varied places of contemporary art production in Berlin.
Several art spaces joined forces and also open their doors to present high-quality art in their common location of Neukölln. Visitors are invited to explore by themselves, enter into dialogue with the art space directors, gallery owners and artists or be guided to locations by artists.
