Wednesday July 11th 2018 SomoS Art House Berlin hosts the launch of Noah Fields’ new poetry chapbook WITH, published by Ghost City Press, Syracuse, NY.
Noah Fields is a Chicago-based queer and nonbinary poet, playwright, and musician originally from California, who recently completed their Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in Literary Arts and Gender & Sexuality Studies. Their writing has been published in Drunken Boat, Chelsea Station, bluestockings, Aldus, Works Etc, and elsewhere.
Pedro Cadore Winter is a musician from Brazil. (performing on guitar)
Arta Rexhepi is from Macedonia. She does “a little bit of everything and a lot of nothing.” (performing poetry)
Giselle Mapp is a 20 something Torontian, with Caribbean and African roots who has been living and working in Berlin for the last 2 years. She is a writer of many things, but mainly dives into the mediums of, poetry and short stories & short films. (performing writing w/ music)
Maria Cortes Calle is a performance and photography student at SAIC. The themes in her work are very diverse, although most of her work has a connection to the subversive queer subculture and liberation in Sao Paulo (where she was raised) and Noah Fields as an insider member of the drag and performative community, within a conservative, patriarchal and Evangelical society, they have targeted other social issues, mostly related to Brazilian culture. Noah Fields is a genderqueer poet and performance artist from Chicago. They work for The Offing Mag and Anomalous Press, as well as DFBRL8R Performance Art Gallery. Their first book WITH is out now from Ghost City Press. (reading poetry)
