Rafaela Ianni was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She majored in fashion design at WSCF University and is currently a graduate student of Contemporary Art by at Guignard Art Academy. She creates graphic collages, conducts research whose purpose is to think about art and its articulations with languages and media such as design, advertising and fashion.
Rafaela Ianni also works as a stylist; creating costumes for theater and performances. In her creative practice, Rafaela Ianni always aims to put design in contact with art. In her collages, she addresses issues such as the media’s imagery of contemporary women and feminine archetypes and the absolute aesthetic standards propagated by the fashion industry.
