African Acid is the Future – Camille Bokhobza
26.11.2016 2pm - 01.12.2016 7pm
From November 26 – December 1 2016 SomoS presents African Acid Is the Future, an exhibition of work by Berlin-based French photographer Camille Bokhobza, curated by Maryama Luccioni and Romain Azzaro.
Bokhobza’s ongoing photo series documents the first year of the popular Berlin club night African Acid Is the Future, from its birth to the present date, offering a glimpse into a particular nocturnal world. The Berlin club night has attracted a loyal following for its open-minded programming and special atmosphere. As sole photographer allowed access, Bokhobza shoots analog, using classic in-camera multiple exposure techniques which allow him to create collage-like imagery.
About the photographer:
Camille Bokhobza lives and works between Berlin and Paris, developing personal photo projects and working on commissions. The photographer has recently participated in the group exhibition, Jungle Juice, Plateforme Gallery, Paris (2016).
Camille’s vivid and raw vision celebrates the people that make our night what it is. With discretion and a flair for the moment, he is able to capture something authentic.
