Frequent SomoS collaborator and guest Christopher Sperandio is an acclaimed visual artist, educator, graphic novelist and TV producer currently working in Houston, Texas. His art activities take their inspiration from conceptual art and political activism of the 1960s and take the form of comic books, billboards, TV programs, or painting installations.

The NYC Center for Artistic Activism is a place to explore, analyze, and build connections between social activism and artistic practice. Its organizers invited trans activists and artists to apply to participate in a 4-day School for Creative Activism (SCA) held at SomoS Berlin from October 2015.
